Below are 25 Keyboard Shortcuts for Productivity. These tiny little shortcuts are a huge help when it comes to speeding up your workflow, no matter what your job. A lot of these will work on Mac AND Windows, you may have to swap command for control if you’re a PC user. Try ’em out and see if any help make you more efficient.

  1. Command + c = copy
  2. Command + v = paste
  3. Command + j = duplicate
  4. Command + a = select All
  5. Command + q = force quit an app
  6. Command + space = spotlight search
  7. Command + y = redo in some programs
  8. Command + z = undo in a lot of programs
  9. Command + shift + 3 = screenshot entire screen
  10. Command + l = highlight the url in your browser
  11. Command + tab = toggle between currently open programs
  12. Command + shift + 4 = screenshot anything on your screen
  13. Command + shift + t = reopen last tabs you opened up to 10
  14. Command + shift + delete = empty your trashcan permanently
  15. Command + shift + v = pastes copied text without formatting
  16. Command + control + d = definition of any word using Dictionary app
  17. Command + i = get info on highlighted file in finder (size, type etc)
  18. Command + f = quick way to search for a word in a document or web page
  19. Command + up or down arrow = scroll all the way to the top or bottom of page
  20. Command + h = hide windows of current app in use (click back on app to reappear)
  21. Space = scroll down in bigger jumps
  22. Shift + space = scroll up in bigger jumps
  23. Shift + control + eject button = put your computer to sleep
  24. Alt + shift + arrow left and right = will select the text to left or right of cursor
  25. fn + f11 = desktop will appear
