AdWords Secret Tips – How to Position Your Ads For Maximum Response and Sales

It's no secret that many affiliate marketers start campaigns on AdWords, let it run for a few days, and formally declare that the campaign is not profitable or the niche is too scheduled. One reason this is so is because their ads did not get enough impressions or got too many clicks because their ad is in the wrong position. Can you get too many clicks? Yes! If you get too many clicks that are not profitable for you, that might be something to do with your ad positioning strategy.

Typically, the first ad spot is a bad place to be. While it gets the most traffic, it also gets a lot of worthless clicks from curious web surfers who have no interest in your product. On the other hand, ads in position 3 to 8 are often prime spots for advertisers. These ads still remain on the first page and get enough targeted clicks to be profitable.

How do you get your ads in positions 3-8? There are two ways to do this. The first way is to simply tell Google so! You can set your positioning preferences to 3-8 and Google will always try to show your ads in those positions or do not show your ad at all.

The second way is to increase or decrease your bids for your ads so they will hit the sweet spots of those positions. Particularly if your ads are not appearing on the first page, you might want to increase your bids or increase your Quality Score by improving your landing page relevancy and ad relevance.

As you can see, this simple little tip can explode your pay per click traffic profitably!
