How Social Media Helped Drive Business to this Small Company One Stitch at a Time

Our star customer this month is Quality Quilts by Laura. Owner Laura Winckel helps mourners memorialize their lost loved ones and celebrate births, marriages, and anniversaries. Customers who have commissioned Laura call her quilts “hugs from heaven”. They’ve even deemed her, “The Quilt Angel”. Laura also frequently speaks at trunk shows and other events on her career and passion for preserving memories.Laura's work was also recently featured in "Work It" by Carrie Kerpen, a public speaker, host of the popular "All The Social Ladies" podcast, and co-founder and CEO of Likeable Media. In the book, Carrie shares how she was touched by a "Quality Quilt".

Laura's business has a track record of success on social media. Since partnering with Likeable, her page has gained over 3,300 likes, her posts have reached more than a quarter million people, and her sales have continuously grown. With so much success, we asked ourselves, "where do we go from here?"

In January, we held a brainstorming session to find a new way to package, brand, and market her business, taking into account her growing popularity. Jon Logan, her account manager, created a forward-looking video and packaged it in a format custom-designed for virality. The results speak for themselves.

 

The video reached an astounding 32,606 people and has accumulated over 13,000 views thus far. We also created a lead ad to build upon the success of the video which resulted in 13 leads. She received multiple additional leads through the video itself on Facebook. The video gained such a high level of engagement that it led to an increased interest in the full scope of Laura's product offerings, from wedding quilts to baby quilts, memorial quilts, and more!
