What is Multi-Channel Marketing?
It is the constant use of one effective message to attract consumers ...
How can this apply to the promotion of articles?
It obviously would be going a bit over the top to think that your articles will be used in an advertising campaign on radio or TV. Yet the principles of multichannel marketing are being successfully used to some extent. Now there are some different Internet Marketing Network options available to promote your articles: link pages, blogs, forums. All are different "channels" (within the "Internet") that you can use to promote your article. Visiting forums or reading other articles can let you in on some helpful tips and tricks.
But it is often possible to advertise your product. Suppose you know a lot about a particular sport. You can write an article about it. If you have a short article in a sport newsletter (or even in a union magazine) containing a web reference to your article, you will most certainly get extra visitors. Writing a letter to a magazine or a newspaper can also be of help. There are countless ways to give your article that little bit of extra attention.
The keywords of your article contain a simple form of multichannel marketing. It does not cover the promotion that is needed through the other channels available, but if the words are chosen carefully, your topic is already in the consumer's minds.
Going one step further
The principle of multichannel marketing has been discussed in this article. However, it is possible to view the article as a channel through which to see other products or service promotions available. Those could simply be extra pieces of information about the article's subject. Often from a writer's perspective, there is always more information that you would like to share with your reader's on a particular subject.
Extra knowledge is needed in order to make an article thorough, and in an article of a limited length, a fitting explanation. By links or references to products / services fitting your topic, your article can be used as a marketing tool. To enable you to become familiar with some of the tools that were used in undertaking this article, I have written my two goals in reaching the readers.
1. The reader receives more information than is available in the article. This produces a good effect and motivates him to return quickly.
2. Also, it is a pleasure to gain the attention desired for my efforts and to also hope to provide extra revenue.
The results achieved that are seen through these examples show that the Multi channel approach is working.
