The lie: "Click here and you will be drowning in orders for your online product by next week." "And next month you will be on the beach in the Bahamas or Greek Isles being served Margaritas by your personal English butler."
The truth: "You will loose money, time and be frustrated by your apprentice lack of success. You will fight with your spouse and amuse or enrage your family. . "
Sorry to burst your delusion but there are no short cuts to online marketing success.
Do not get me wrong, everyone has the potential to be very successful online at the same time. But it will not be easy and you must be in it for better or worse without the prospect of ever quitting, no matter what.
Why then do people still peddle these products that will bring you money instantly? Well because they know nothing better and sometimes they do not wish to tell you the truth for selfish reasons.
Online marketing and businesses have become linked with instant wealth. That is most unfortunate as only the top 1 to 5% are making 90 to 99% of the money out there. The majority of the online marketing population gets desperate enough to fall for a few scams or two and then they quit after a few weeks or months swearing that this does not work.
A scam is a product that is cheaply priced and guarantees paying you a kings ransom by next Christmas. The only thing you can gain from buying that product is never to buy it from that guy again. This slow elimination process is slow and painful towards your wallet but it is very necessary.
Business is not easy and small business is not for the faint hearted with large mortgages and children in college. You will loose money and time but you will gain experience and wisdom. If you learn from your mistakes and improve your approach and keep trying then you will start to make progress and loose as little investment capital as possible.
Note that I said progress not succeed. Success is not an event but an ongoing process of improvement. Before you know it you will have succeeded in accomplishing your own dreams and not somebody else.
Yes, we would like to run out an bash the skulls of these scam artists but they are teaching you very valuable lessons and you need to heed them and remember them. I would rather be scammed out of $ 19 than $ 40 million. The principle is the same but the money involved is higher.
This is the time to get in dirty and carve your street smarts. The true gurus will guide you and the false gurus will teach you valuable lessons. But in the end you will only succeed if you learn and get better.
